R. R. Aqua Products Private Limited is a Chennai-headquartered, MSME-registered, DPIIT-recognised EPC contractor specialising in the complete design, supply, installation, and commissioning of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems. Our engineering team speaks the language of TNPCB consent conditions, CPCB General Standards, and NGT norms.
Biological Treatment
Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
Robust, compact, and operator-friendly systems capable of consistently meeting CPCB/NGT General Standards: BOD <10 mg/L, COD <50 mg/L, TSS <10 mg/L.
Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR)
Our most-specified STP technology for mid-to-large capacity installations. Combines suspended and attached growth processes in a single tank, reducing footprint by 30-50%.
Shock-Load Resilience
Biofilm matrix buffers against sudden flow changes, perfect for industrial parks.
Easy Operation
No sludge recycle required. Simpler mechanically than MBR, ideal for limited manpower.
Terminal Treatment
Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Systems
Zero Liquid Discharge is the regulatory destination for industries in coastal zones and TN groundwater-overexploited taluks. We supply systems that evaporate RO reject to dry salt cake.
Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR)
Recycles evaporated vapour using a blower. Consumes only 25-60 kWh/m³ of water evaporated—a 15-30x energy efficiency advantage over conventional MEE.
Electrical Vacuum Evaporators
Operates at 30-50 mbar vacuum, dropping boiling point to 35-40°C. Ideal for low-volume, high-TDS pharma or lab effluents without steam supply.
Solar Evaporation Ponds
Zero energy cost ZLD utilizing natural solar radiation (4.5 mm/day evaporation in TN). Ideal for large land-available heavy industries.

Frequently Asked Questions
For an 80-120 m² space, MBBR is recommended for low operator intervention and high shock tolerance. If nutrient limits are strict, SBR is superior. If space is under 60 m² and you want direct reuse-grade water, MBR is the best choice.
TNPCB has tightened enforcement. Dyeing and bleaching units in SIPCOT estates must achieve ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge). RO reject must be fully evaporated to dry solid. We design full-chain ZLD systems and assist with TNPCB consent applications.
Conventional MEE consumes roughly 250-400 kWh/m³ in boiler energy. MVR recycles vapor using a blower, consuming only 25-60 kWh/m³ of electricity—a 5-10x energy saving. Payback on the higher MVR CAPEX is typically 2-4 years.
